Microwaving Iraq

My fellow bogger (A Hero Lost) directed me to the U.S. Congress website today, out of thinking that it would be something having to deal with our U.S. Government homework I obliged and hit the site, soon to find out that it was the exact opposite than what I was expecting... I began to read the article, what I read shocked and disturbed me:
The grunts call the plastic devices "poppers" or "domes". Once activated, each hidden transmitter emits a widening circle of invisible energy capable of passing through metal, concrete and human skulls up to half a mile away. "They are saturating the area with ULF, VLF and UHF freqs," Hanks says, with equipment derived from US Navy undersea sonar and communications.

"Invisible energy capable of passing through metal, concrete and human skulls" just let that line soak in, what in the world are the military trying to do over in Iraq? When this war was started its reason for going into Iraq was to get Saddam Hussein out of office, and to capture/kill Osama bin Laden. Well the troops have got Saddam in a Highly guarded military prison in Cuba, but we still have no clue about what ever happened to Osama, whether he is planning another attack or if he is wormfood, but yet the military is changing there focus from finding Osama, to scouring everything that moves to look for terrorists and potentially killing thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens along the way.
He is concerned that innocent Iraqi families and unsuspecting GIs alike are being used as test subjects for a new generation of "psychotronic" weapons using invisible beams across the entire electromagnetic spectrum to selectively alter moods, behavior and bodily processes.
Very Low Frequency (VLF) weapons include the dozens of "poppers" currently deployed in Iraq, which can be dialed to or "long wave" frequencies capable of traveling great distances through the ground or intervening structures. As air force Lt Col. Peter L. Hays, Director of the Institute for National Security Studies reveals, "Transmission of long wavelength sound creates biophysical effects; nausea, loss of bowels, disorientation, vomiting, potential internal organ damage or death may occur."
I couldn't believe my eyes, I mean, I totally had a double take... "Is this a Joke?" kept rolling through my mind, but how could it? It was on the U.S. Congress website, posted by someone in the government. Why is the focus in Iraq turning from its original stand point of Saddam & Osama Out and Democracy In? Why are they using this type of a search method to "find" terrorist and risking not only the lives of thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens but also U.S. military men along the way?

Personally I am anti-war especially in this case, I know at times it is necessary for the protection of the nation but, the U.S. is blowing this "War on Terrorism" into a a full blown Watergate scandal all over again. Along with the immense number of casualties on both sides of this fight, there has been major controversy over many of the actions that the President of the U.S. has done in the last few years. Contrary to popular belief, it is next to impossible to turn a tyrannous State into a Democracy, no matter how many more guns we have. The U.S. is just taking one tyrant out of office to place a new political leader in that wants America out of Iraq just as bad as the men that caused the reason that we went in.
